Palabras Bookstore

Palabras is a local community refuge and bookstore created to counter and challenge the history and currently very active silencing of BIPOC (Black Indigenous, People of Color, across all intersections) stories and voices by providing a safe and encouraging space for cultural representation, healing and liberation of historically minoritized BIPOC through community engagement involving literature and the arts.

Cuentos Café, located inside Palabras Bookstore serves up delicious espresso drinks made using local roaster, Quetzal Coop’s coffee who work in solidarity with indigenous farmers using traditionally sustainable growing practices. Cuentos also carries a variety herbal tea blends and rotating pastry options. With lots of places to enjoy your latte or tea inside Nurture House, Cuentos is the perfect place to grab your daily cup.

Andria's Tienda

Andria Munoz spent years hustling in person at various small markets across Arizona before turning her passion into a thriving business. Raised by a single, hardworking mother, she learned the art of jewelry-making from her grandmother. Andria’s hard work and dedication have finally paid off – she opened her own storefront in September, 2023.

Wasted Ink Zine Distro

Wasted Ink, established 2015, is a zine hub providing international distribution, printing services, the annual PHX Zine Fest, and an extensive zine library - all dedicated to uplifting voices of historically marginalized creators who are Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+, disabled, chronically ill, or neurodivergent.
